About Us

NH7.JPG

Nick Hodsman and Associates supports organisations seeking to protect their brands against illicit trade. Rather than commission endless reports and projects, we work with clients to come up with appropriate strategies through analysis, technology evaluation and policy engagement. We do this by working alongside organisations of all sizes, enabling them to fight illicit trade without enormous investment, instead honing in on the strategy that our clients need.

Our rigorous analysis enables positive engagement with stakeholders (internally and externally such as law enforcement). We work with multiple functions, collating their diverging objectives into common goals (such as Finance and ESG, Operations and Corporate Affairs).

No project or budget is too small, our goal is always to make a long-term impact, helping clients reduce losses from illicit trade.

Having been a Director at KPMG responsible for Anti-illicit trade work and other ESG-related topics, Nick started providing candid, concise and tailored support directly to clients in 2020.

Nick has 18 years of Strategy Consulting experience, developing a series of approaches to analysing illicit trade and its impact. This includes tools such as a cost-benefit analysis calculator to fight illicit trade, a policy evaluation framework and a series of analyses utilising illicit trade research, demographics and other publicly available information. His work often involves presenting to multiple stakeholders, including at a range of conferences and events on the topic, including the OECD Taskforce for Countering Illicit Trade and GLOBSEC.

Nick is supported by a diverse range of experienced professionals, from analysts, ex-law enforcement and intelligence officers to senior ex-corporate stakeholders.

Value Statement:

We encourage companies to fulfil their responsibilities to fight illicit trade, by supporting governments and other stakeholders and developing ethically appropriate strategies. We want all our clients to address illicit trade within their products, understanding the impact it has on society and the threat it poses to public policy.
